Family Photoshoots

Family photoshoots are a great way to preserve your family forever.

It's so easy to let the days, weeks and years fly by thinking "I must get some pictures of us all together" and never get around to doing it (eeerrrr, I'm a photographer and I do that a lot too!).

And the biggest reason? Generally one of you is behind the camera (usually mums!) and aren't in the pictures at all.

Family Photoshoots in Torbay and South Devon

Whether it's for a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas, a gift for a family member, or you're just after some updated family portraits for your walls, we can get some gorgeous pictures to suit your needs. Before the shoot we can discuss a bit more about your reasons for booking a shoot and adapt the photoshoot to match.

I can also arrange multiple photoshoots or larger scale ones for getting the whole family involved. Uncles, Aunts, Grandparents, Cousins, Pets - Let me know what you'd like to achieve and we can find a way.

My packages are listed below. I can also arrange bespoke packages if required. If you're not sure what might be best for you, get in touch and I'll see what I can do!

Whichever shoot you choose, a 20% deposit is required to secure the booking. The rest of the payment must be paid before the shoot starts.

Maternity and Baby Photoshoots

Having a baby is one of those huge, wonderful times in your life that is worth capturing. It's such a special time and goes by so fast. In the blink of an eye, it's all over, they're growing up fast and you're looking back on old snapshots on your phone thinking "why didn't I take more pictures? Why didn't I take better ones? Why didn't I get a picture like this, or of him/her doing that?"

I think that all of the time too - it's so easy to get distracted by... just.... life!

When your baby is first born, setting time aside to take nice photos and preserve how perfect and small they are might be something you intend to do, but in the whirlwind of appointments, family visits, nappies, milk, sleep (or lack of it) the first few weeks and months fly by (they really do, even if they don't feel like they are in that moment). Before you know it, it's too late.

And in the later stages of pregnancy when you have a glorious bump and might want to capture it in some gorgeous photos, you're often tired, busy preparing for the new arrival, finishing off at work before maternity leave and going to and fro from midwife appointments. And did I mention tired?

It's so much easier to get someone else to take the pictures. No planning, no forgetting, no time issues. It can take a little as one hour out of your time from start to finish (although a couple of hours is better!). The shoot can take place in the comfort of your own home or somewhere nearby, reducing travel time and carrying everything but the kitchen sink with you. And best of all? Mums can be in the pictures, not stuck behind the camera.

Wedding Photography

I rarely do weddings but I will undertake occasional bookings for small weddings and last minute bookings.

Weddings are wonderful and a huge responsibility, and being part-time I don't have the capacity to accommodate them at the moment. But if it's a small ceremony or you've been let down last minute, I may be able to help!

Smaller weddings and vow renewals are naturally smaller events and I can usually fit them in. Large weddings take much more planning, skills, experience, expertise and (most of all) time, and I would always recommend using a photographer with plenty of experience. While I have done a few, I would never put myself in that category. It's a once in a lifetime experience and it's best left to a specialist to avoid disappointment.

That being said, if you are in need of a last minute wedding photographer it can be a struggle to find anyone as most are booked a year or two in advance, and I am happy to help if you like my style, please get in touch to discuss.

Something extra?

Most of my work is photography for Businesses, with a few family photoshoots here and there. But I am often approached to take on other projects. If you don't see what you are looking for on this website, please get in touch for a chat and I'll see what I can do to help. If it's not a project I can take on, I can usually recommend someone suitable.

Testimonials

We simply loved our time with Fran. Her warm authenticity made us feel so at ease, first as expectant parents and then with our one week old son. The results speak for themselves as we have wonderful memories and photos to treasure always.
